KTA Entry.
University of Massachusetts Amherst sophomore Amanda O'Keefe tackles her weekend homework on Saturday, March 6 in her room at the Iota Gamma Upsilon sorority. She stays motivated by competing with her twin sister and a friend in a "GPA war," she said. "Laziness is the only reason people fail at getting decent grades in [the sorority] house, so I avoid it," she said. O'Keefe is the scholarship chairperson in the sorority. Her job is to monitor the sisters' grade point averages and enforce mandatory study hours several times a week.
